Changing the Base Currency of Trading Accounts in Trendo

In Trendo Broker, when opening a trading account, users can choose their preferred base currency from 11 international currencies. The base currency is the unit of currency in which the account balance, deposits, withdrawals, and the profits and losses of trades are displayed.

Changing the Base Currency of an Account

Once a trading account is created, it is not possible to change its base currency. This decision is made to maintain the stability of account information, ensure transparency in reporting, and prevent disruptions in trade calculations.

Note: If you wish to trade with a different base currency, you must open a new account with the desired currency.

Steps to Open a New Account on Trendo Platform

  1. Log in to your trading platform, and from the menu section, click on the marked icon as shown below.
  2. ​Click on the "New Wallet" option.
  3. In the new screen, after selecting the account type and the base currency, click "Create Wallet." This will open a new trading account with your desired base currency.

Transferring Funds Between Accounts with Different Base Currencies

When transferring funds between accounts with different base currencies, the currency conversion is done automatically using the latest exchange rate. No manual steps are required for currency conversion.

Important Notes on Choosing a Base Currency

  • Impact on Deposits and Withdrawals: All deposit and withdrawal operations are calculated and processed using the base currency rate against the US Dollar (USD).

  • Impact on Trades: The selected base currency affects how profits and losses, commissions, and trading costs are displayed.

  • Managing Multiple Accounts: You can create multiple trading accounts with different base currencies to pursue diverse strategies.
